Product Introduction

The U-type double-girder outdoor gantry crane features a unique "U" shaped frame design. Compared to A-type gantry cranes, it eliminates the need for supporting saddles, providing a wide leg span of nearly 7 meters, facilitating the loading and unloading of large goods such as containers. The crane has a low overall height, strong stability, and can operate along ground rails, offering a wide working range. The main beam can be equipped with cantilevers, supporting operations beyond the span.

It is suitable for ports, railway freight yards, open-air storage yards, and other locations for efficient heavy-duty handling. With a maximum lifting capacity of up to 50 tons, it is a robust, durable, and highly adaptable heavy-duty lifting equipment.

Outdoor gantry crane typically consists of the following main components:

• Main girder: also known as a large girder, carries hoists and loads over the span. Two types of single and double girders are available.
• Outriggers: Support frames, to connect the main beam to the ground and support vertical loads. It is designed as a box or A-frame and can be fixed or equipped with wheels to move around.
• Lifting mechanism: lifts and lowers the load. Can be equipped with CD/MD wire rope hoists, Euro hoists, or electric trolleys; single/double speed or variable frequency.
• End carriage/wheel: enables the crane to move along the track or yard. Adopt forged steel or cast steel wheels, equipped with a buffer and a derailment protection device to ensure the safety of outdoor operation.
• Crane traveling mechanism: This mechanism drives the entire gantry frame to move along the ground rails. It is usually installed on the end beams and uses an electric motor connected to a gearbox to drive the wheels.
• Electrical system: controls hoisting and traveling operations. Includes control panel, power cord, and braking system.
• Ground rail or rubber tire: supports the crane to move on the ground. Ground rail: suitable for fixed rail. Rubber tires: flexible movement without tracks
