Warehouses need lifting equipment that makes use of overhead space and keeps the floor clear for storage and traffic. The LD type رافعة علوية أحادية العارضة runs on runway beams above the working area. It lifts and moves goods without taking up floor space or competing with forklifts and pedestrians.
For a 5 ton duty, a single girder design is a practical choice. Compared with a double girder crane, it has a simpler bridge structure, lower self-weight and lower initial investment. It also puts a lighter load on the building’s runway beams and columns. When the load is within the single girder range, a double girder crane is usually not necessary.
In warehousing and logistics centers, LD type single girder cranes are used for lifting, stacking and retrieving finished goods between storage racks. The same crane design is also used in machinery manufacturing, assembly workshops, light industrial plants and steel structure workshops. Because the crane runs overhead, it keeps aisles and floor area free for storage and traffic.
LD type cranes are not suitable for lifting molten metal, hot metal or flammable goods, or for workshops with acidic or corrosive gases. For ordinary warehouse cargo, they are a practical and economical choice.

The LD type uses an I-beam or box-girder main beam with low wheel pressure, which reduces the load on the building structure and runway beams. Its modular design and standardized components allow quick installation, and key parts are easy to inspect and replace. A tapered brake motor gives smooth starting and braking, and an optional variable frequency drive allows more precise positioning.
