Electric Transfer Cart Types

I. Classification by Power Supply Method (The most fundamental classification method)

1. KPD Low-Voltage Rail-Mounted Electric Transfer Cart

The system lays three insulated conductive rails on the ground. It then steps 380V industrial electricity down to a safe voltage (e.g., 36V/72V) and transmits it to the rails. The flatbed car draws power from the rails via a power-taking device (carbon brushes).

Advantages: Safe voltage, can operate 24 hours a day without interruption, long operating distance, low operating cost.

Applicable Scenarios: Suitable for indoor environments such as workshops and warehouses with fixed transportation routes, high workload, and high operating frequency.

2. KPX Battery-Powered Electric Transfer Cart

Principle: The flatbed cart is powered by a built-in battery pack (lead-acid/lithium battery).

Advantages: Highly maneuverable, not limited by tracks or cables, and has minimal impact on other ground operations.

Suitable Scenarios: For locations with variable transport routes, cross-workshop operations, outdoor locations, or sites requiring track insulation. Disadvantages: Requires regular charging, and batteries have a limited lifespan.

3. KPJ Cable Reel Electric Transfer Cart

Principle: The flatbed car is connected to an external power source via a cable. The cable reel on the car moves with the vehicle, automatically winding and unwinding the cable.

Advantages: Stable power supply, strong power, and relatively low manufacturing cost.

Applicable Scenarios: Long operating distances, requiring stable power on straight or curved tracks. Disadvantages: Risk of cable wear and damage from being run over.

4. KPC Contact Line Powered Electric Transfer Carт

Principle: A safety contact line is installed on a column or factory roof frame on one side of the track. The flat car draws power by contacting the contact line through a current collector (collector).

Advantages: Combines the continuity of track power supply with the simplicity of cable reels, making maintenance convenient.

2. Trackless Electric Transfer Cart

Requires no tracks and moves freely on flat ground using tires. Typically battery-powered, it can move forward, backward, turn left and right, and rotate 360°.

Advantages: Extremely flexible routes, no need for tracks, easy to modify.

Disadvantages: Requires a high degree of ground flatness; load-bearing capacity is generally lower than comparable tracked flatbed carts.
