Tanzanian President Hassan Meets Weihua Group executives at FOCAC

On September 6, 2024, the Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) was held in Beijing. Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan met with Li Guoqiang, Chairman of Weihua Group, Zhen Mingming, CEO of Weihua Group and Wang Xi, Vice President of Weihua International. Both sides had an in-depth exchange on the progress of Weihua Group's projects in Tanzania and the direction of future cooperation.

During the meeting, Mr. Li Guoqiang gave a comprehensive introduction to President Hassan about Weihua Group's development history, technical innovation capability, and key projects in Tanzania. He said that under the guidance of the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, the relationship between China and Tanzania is getting closer and closer, and the cooperation has achieved remarkable results. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Tanzania, Weihua Group is willing to give full play to its advantages, introduce advanced technology and mature experience into Tanzania, and contribute to the local economic and social development.

President Hassan highly recognized Weihua Group's long-term active participation in Tanzania's infrastructure construction and welcomed the company to continue to expand its investment in the country. She emphasized that she hoped both sides would strengthen practical cooperation in many fields and promote friendly relations between the two countries.

During the talks, a number of Tanzanian government officials also responded to the cooperation issues in related fields and said they would actively promote the follow-up docking work to ensure the smooth implementation of cooperation.

Visiting Weihua Group Factory

The day before, Li and his entourage were also invited to attend a dinner hosted by the Tanzanian President on Sino-Tanzanian cooperation, which further deepened mutual trust and friendship between the two sides.

In recent years, the cooperation between Weihua Group and Tanzania has always been close. Weihua Group's crane equipment has been widely used in many local infrastructure projects, including hydroelectric power stations, bridge construction, and other engineering projects, injecting a strong impetus for Tanzania's economic development.
